Waidhofen an der Ybbs is a small Lower Austrian town on the river that names it. Its principal church is, as in most Austrian towns of that size, the largest and most resonant room available, and sacred music at the great feasts is a fixed point of the year there. Programmes given in it have included an Easter Mass and the Adagio of the Bulgarian composer Krasimir Kyurkchiyski.
