The Afundación cultural centre in Pontevedra occupies a building reshaped by architect César Portela, combining stone façades with contemporary glass elements. A six-metre bronze figure of Teucer by Cándido Pazos connects the centre with Pontevedra's legendary founder. An auditorium, classrooms and meeting spaces support concerts, theatre, exhibitions and educational activities. Its public programme includes performances for school audiences as well as events for the wider community.
