Braunschweig heard the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra through Dobratz, which brought the orchestra into the Stadthalle Braunschweig on 26 December 2004 for an evening of opera — the Overture to Le nozze di Figaro, then Donizetti's Una furtiva lagrima and Verdi from Luisa Miller, Macbeth and beyond, sung by Luigi Frattola, Giuliano di Filippo, Vincenzo Sanso, Orfeo Zanetti, Orlin Kamenov and Andrea Hörkens.
