An orchestra performing in Berlin under this name has given a New Year's concert in the Philharmonie — the tented hall on Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße that has stood at the centre of the city's orchestral life since 1963, and which opens its platform each season to visiting ensembles as well as its resident one.
