Гьопферт-Хаус

The Reinhard-Göpfert-Haus is a community venue in western Dietzenbach, originally conceived as a day centre for older residents. In June 2017 the municipality transferred its use to the volunteer-run Freundeskreis Göpfert-Haus association. The building provides a main hall for approximately 80 people, smaller meeting spaces and a kitchen, accommodating activities by local associations as well as private gatherings. Its history links social provision with the town's continuing need for shared community rooms. Dietzenbach, south-east of Frankfurt in the Rhine-Main belt, holds its civic and cultural gatherings in a handful of halls, the Göpfert-Haus among them. Bach and the eighteenth-century orchestral repertoire have been heard in it, as they are in such rooms across Hesse, where a town's musical year is built from evenings of this kind.
