The hall occupies the low wing of a 1979 complex on Tsar Simeon Veliki boulevard whose fifteen-storey tower now holds the regional administration. Known for decades as the House of Culture, it served Stara Zagora as the general concert and assembly room and took visiting orchestras. The municipality rebuilt the auditorium and finished on 26 September 2019, leaving 521 places, 214 of them on a telescopic amphitheatre tribune, and the building was renamed Cultural Centre Stara Zagora. Ceramic panels by Lyuben Pashkulski form part of the building’s artistic decoration.
