Музикална академия „Орфеус“

Every August the academy gathers young players from South-Eastern and Central Europe in Vienna for master courses with international professors, then puts them on stage beside their teachers in the Orpheus in Wien festival — more than fifteen concerts, with the Camerata Orphica as festival orchestra and a marked place for contemporary music. Michael Frischenschlager is president, the violinist Mario Hossen artistic director; the Mariahilfer Kirche is one of its regular rooms. Its declared field is the music of the Danube countries, and its concerts are not confined to Vienna — Sofia has had them too.
