Кингс Тиътър Къмпани

Kings Theatre Company was incorporated in 1998 as a non-profit arts organisation in Sugar Loaf, New York. Associated with the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts, it combined theatrical presentation with educational and community aims. In 2012, Richard and Susan Logothetis donated the theatre building to the company. The venue, subsequently known as the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center, accommodated theatre, concerts, dance and children's programmes, giving the company a setting for both visiting artists and local cultural activity. Grand opera has reached Sugarloaf by way of the Kings Theatre Company, which has presented Verdi's Aida there. The name describes a producing body rather than a building — a company that mounts work for its own community, on the scale such companies manage, and at the ambitious end of what a small town's stage can hold.
