Концертхаус Карлсруе

Curjel & Moser designed it and it was built between 1913 and 1915, which makes the Konzerthaus the senior member of what has since become Karlsruhe's congress quarter — a group of buildings arranged around a plaza of some ten thousand square metres, joined by the Schwarzwaldhalle in 1953, the present Stadthalle in 1985 and the Gartenhalle in 1990. The house contains two halls. Its portico, damaged in the war, was restored in 1993–94. Touring orchestras and vocal galas belong to its regular fare, among them the tenor programme Die Nacht der 5 Tenöre.
