Крайскултурраум, Кронах

Kronach guards its upper Franconian valley behind medieval walls and the bastions of the Rosenberg fortress, and the Kreiskulturraum belongs to the quieter town below. It is a district hall rather than a concert house: the room Kronach and the surrounding Landkreis use for concerts, touring productions and civic gatherings, with no resident ensemble attached to it. Operatic gala evenings reach it on tour, bringing professional voices to the town that produced Lucas Cranach the Elder.
