The spa gardens of Warnemünde on the Baltic, the seaside quarter of Rostock, where a summer stage is set among the lawns behind the Kurhaus. The garden was laid out in 1922 to plans by the municipal garden director Schomburg, with a music pavilion, a promenade hall and a reading room; work on the Kurhaus itself began in 1926 and the building by Gustav Wilhelm Berringer opened on 24 May 1928 in the idiom of the Neues Bauen with Art Deco detail. The grounds were rebuilt from 1999 and reopened on 27 April 2001 with a stage of some two hundred square metres, a beer garden and underground parking for over five hundred cars. The Kurhausgarten is an outdoor cultural venue beside the Kurhaus in Warnemünde, Rostock's Baltic seaside district.
