Курзалон, Бад Вьорисхофен

Sebastian Kneipp turned a Bavarian-Swabian village into a cure resort in the later nineteenth century, and Bad Wörishofen has been organised around water treatment ever since. The Kursalon is the social room of that establishment: a hall in the spa quarter where guests taking the cure hear concerts, from spa-orchestra afternoons to touring gala evenings of operatic favourites. Its audience is unlike a city hall's — people with time, staying for weeks, listening at leisure.
