Lovech sits in north-central Bulgaria on both banks of the Osam, beneath the walls of the Hisarya fortress, and is joined across the water by a roofed bridge unlike any other in the Balkans. It is a town of some antiquity and no small musical activity, but the name identifies a place on the map rather than a building with a stage.
