The NTS Concert Hall in Sliven became a home for the city's symphony orchestra following a municipal refurbishment undertaken for the orchestra's eightieth season. The work included improvements to the stage, heating and ventilation. The hall continued to host orchestral programmes in the following years; a June 2016 announcement placed Martin Panteleev and Vesko Panteleev-Eshkenazi there with the Sliven Symphony Orchestra. Under the Blue Rocks of the eastern Balkan range, Sliven supports a symphony orchestra of its own and a modest circuit of halls for it to play in. This is one of them, taking orchestral and chamber evenings and the anthology programmes of operatic favourites that Bulgarian companies tour through the provincial towns.
