Зала „Орловец“ – Габрово

Orlovets Hall is a sports and events complex in Gabrovo, completed in 1994. Designed by architect Karl Kandulkov and built under the supervision of Boris Peynov, the five-storey building contains an arena, stage, foyers, conference facilities and supporting rooms. A stage faces the spectator stands, allowing the venue to accommodate cultural and public gatherings as well as sport. Its scale has made it a setting for major indoor events in the city. Touring companies working the Bulgarian circuit come to Gabrovo, the town in the Balkan passes that made its money from wool and ironwork and its name from a reputation for thrift it now celebrates in a museum of humour. This hall takes those visits: dance-theatre and music-theatre productions on national tours have played there.
