Seville's Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, known as Fibes, is a conference, exhibition and performance complex whose activity at the site dates from 1989. Its two main areas are linked by an exhibition walkway. Fibes I combines three large exhibition pavilions with conference rooms and smaller auditoriums, while Fibes II adds flexible meeting spaces and a principal auditorium accommodating more than 3,150 people. The complex hosts professional congresses and trade fairs alongside concerts and theatrical events. Seville's Palacio de Congresos carried the heaviest single day of the Operisima tour of Spain: on 28 October 2013 the hall gave both Verdi's Messa da Requiem, with Ana Alonso, Belen Elvira, Sergi Gimenez-Carreras and Antonio Torres, and Bizet's Carmen, with Belen Elvira, Guillermo Orozco, Carmen Serrano, Luis Santana, Javier Aguilo, Conchi Moyano, Kremena Ganotcha and Dilyan Bliznakov.
