Пале Ешенбах

Behind a façade of the Ringstrasse decades, on the short Eschenbachgasse between the Burgring and Getreidemarkt, this palace was raised as the house of the Austrian trade association and has kept that ownership ever since. Its festival hall — galleried, chandeliered, of the dimensions that suit a Viennese ball — is let for concerts, receptions and dancing, and remains one of the more discreet music rooms of the inner city, known chiefly to those who have been invited into it. Palais Eschenbach is a nineteenth-century institutional building on Eschenbachgasse in central Vienna. Designed by Otto Thienemann and constructed in 1870–1872, it brought together premises for the Austrian Association of Engineers and Architects at number 9 and the Austrian Trade Association at number 11.
