Фондация „Св. Георги“

The foundation is one of the organisers of the International Competition for Composing a Symphonic Work in 7/8, which it runs with the Union of Bulgarian Composers and the Sofia Philharmonic under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. A theme is set each year — jazz in 7/8 in 2016, voices and orchestra in 7/8 in 2017 — and the final ranking is decided by the audience at the gala concert rather than by a jury. The competition reached its fifteenth edition in 2015 and its seventeenth in 2017.
