Щадтхале Герстхофен

Gersthofen, a town of some 22,000 on the northern edge of Augsburg, keeps its own hall in the centre next to the City Center shopping arcade, and programmes it through the municipal culture office rather than leaving it to hirers. Around 200 events a year run in the Stadthalle and its second room in the town's balloon museum: cabaret and comedy, concerts from classical and jazz to pop and medieval rock, musicals and operetta, dance, readings and a children's series. Tickets are sold at the town library, and subscription series run through the season.
