Щадтхале Мешеде

Opened in 1980 as part of the rebuilding of Meschede's town centre, the hall stands where the Henne meets the Ruhr and carries much of the cultural calendar of this district town in the Sauerland. Its main auditorium seats 622 in rows, 326 at tables, or 800 standing, and the stage — 12.5 metres wide and 10 deep — has an orchestra pit and a fly tower with ten sets of lines, so touring musicals, dance companies and orchestral concerts can be taken as they come. A second room of 131 seats is kept for chamber music and readings.
