Wetzlar's congress and cultural centre stands on Brühlsbachstraße with a hotel and an underground garage built into it. It offers up to 1,004 seats and about 5,000 square metres over as many as eight meeting rooms of 80 to 900 square metres, plus 2,000 square metres of exhibition space. The Theatersaal carries the concert and theatre programme, and the Neues Kellertheater — comedies, plays, musicals — is based in the building. The town's summer festival plays elsewhere, mostly in the Rosengärtchen.
