Общински институт „Старинен Пловдив“

The Municipal Institute Starinen Plovdiv preserves and presents the architectural heritage of Plovdiv's Old Town. Its predecessor, the Old Plovdiv Administration, was established on 1 April 1969 under Atanas Krastev, known as Nacho Kulturata, whose work helped bring historic houses back into public use. The organisation adopted its present institutional name in 2004. Alongside conservation and restoration, it maintains a technical archive documenting the neighbourhood's buildings and presents exhibitions and cultural events, including concerts in the courtyard of the Balabanov House.
