Хор на Държавна опера – Русе

The chorus was formed in 1949 together with the state opera, in a city that then supported twenty-eight choirs and could simply draw its singers from them. It holds more than forty operatic titles, from Rossini and Mozart to Verdi and Puccini, alongside the Verdi Requiem, the Ninth Symphony and Alexander Nevsky. Atanas Dimitrov, Tomina Sidova, Hristo Stoev and Steliana Dimitrova-Hernani are the names most associated with its training. It sang the triumphal scene from Aida for French television in 1995, and has appeared at the Wagner festival in Minden and at Solothurn, as well as in Nabucco in Spain and La traviata in Belgium.
