A helicopter group is an unlikely concert organiser, yet The Wymondham Helicopter Group stood behind the evening of 4 June 2017 at The Assembly House in Norwich, billed as Summertime in Vienna. The group organises shows, concerts and dances across Norfolk and Suffolk, and further afield, to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity — which is what ties its name to its concert work. It has said it set out to add popular music to a town whose events are usually classical or choral, and its bookings include tribute acts playing Dire Straits, ELO, Beatles and 1960s material.
