Симфониета Видин

At Bulgaria's north-western corner, where the Danube turns towards Romania, Vidin supports a professional symphony orchestra of the kind established across the country's provincial centres during the twentieth century. It plays a season of classical and romantic programmes, appears at civic occasions and works with the town's schools. Its recorded output has included a collection of shorter pieces, setting Mozart and Schubert beside Bulgarian miniatures by Krasimir Kyurkchiyski and Marin Goleminov.
