Ахмед Ал Хосани

For the fiftieth anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Al Hosani wrote the Arabic text of Glory of the UAE — a three-movement symphonic work by Domenico Cannizzaro and Aurora Muratti. Cannizzaro reported that the orchestral part had been recorded with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, with Al Hosani's baritone part planned for a later recording phase. He studied voice with Cannizzaro and music theory with Muratti. He has sung with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the Cairo Philharmonic, and in September 2022 spoke of an invitation to appear in Puccini's Turandot in Stara Zagora. In June 2025 he sang at Kensington Palace in London with the soprano Fatima Al Hashmi, in a concert mounted by the Abu Dhabi Festival with the Peace and Prosperity Trust and prepared over a three-week residency with the Welsh tenor Dennis O'Neill. Neapolitan songs by Ernesto De Curtis were on his programme.
