Биография
Alexander Spirov's work with the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra goes back to 2000 and has taken him to Haskovo and, further afield, to Toledo and Madrid on the orchestra's Spanish dates. He was the orchestra's concertmaster and a teacher whose pupils went into the Plovdiv opera orchestra, and for eight years he played in the Plovdiv String Quartet; his repertoire reached from Bach and Mozart into the twentieth century, and he gave first performances of Bulgarian works. The Madrid and Toledo concerts brought him the Plovdiv Award in 2003. He was born in 1944 and died in 2025.
