Ангел Заберски-син

Trained in composition and conducting at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music, after the Lyubomir Pipkov school and a childhood at the piano from the age of six, Angel Zaberski Jr. came to jazz through an Oscar Peterson record his father gave him. His first group was a trio; he also began writing big-band arrangements, and his recordings include the Angel Zaberski Octet album in 2000, the big-band originals of Hot Brass & Rhythm in 2006, Definitely Mr. Zaberski in 2008, and a fourth record with the Brass Association Big Band in 2011 — alongside a period arranging for the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band. His Symphony–Jazz project combines jazz musicians with a string orchestra, and he has worked at length with the singer Vassil Petrov. He also teaches. He took his composition degree in 1996 in the class of Dimitar Tapkov, and he has taught improvisation at New Bulgarian University. Reflections is another of his albums.
