Антон Зидару

In 2000 Anton Zidaru became a soloist of the Ion Dacian National Theatre of Operetta and Musical in Bucharest. A graduate of the vocal faculty of the Bucharest Academy of Music, the Romanian tenor has built his repertoire out of the operetta and musical-theatre literature — Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Edwin in Die Csárdásfürstin, Stanislaus in Der Vogelhändler, St Brioche in Die lustige Witwe, Barnaby in Hello, Dolly! — alongside Les contes d’Hoffmann and vocal-symphonic work. Lieutenant Stone in The Flower of Hawaii is another of his operetta parts.
