Бо Уанг

Bo Wang studied with Weilong Tao at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music from 2018 to 2023 and won the Golden Bell Award in 2021. In 2024 he began a master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. His stage roles include parts in The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni and La bohème; in September 2025 he won the International Helmut Deutsch Song Competition in Vienna, and later the same year reached the final of Operalia in Sofia, where he took an Encouragement Award. His Berlin studies have been with Roman Trekel, and his work in song has brought a duo with the pianist Yuriko Watanabe, classes with Hartmut Höll and the song academy of Heidelberger Frühling. He took the Dublin Song Series Prize at the Moniuszko Competition in 2025, and has sung in Kassel and Shanghai. After completing his master's studies, he was named a member of the Vienna State Opera's opera studio for 2026/27. In 2026 he and Watanabe won first prize at the third Bolko von Hochberg song competition.
