Джеонгхйеок (Карло) Сео

South Korean baritone Carlo Seo was born in Uiseong in 1985, took his advanced degree at Yeungnam University and moved to Italy in 2017 to study at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. He worked in Raina Kabaivanska's masterclasses in Modena and, as a scholarship student, at New Bulgarian University in Sofia. The Italian lyric baritone roles are his ground — Marcello in La bohème and Malatesta in Don Pasquale — sung in Italy and in Bulgaria, among them projects of the Raina Kabaivanska School and appearances with Sofia Opera and Ballet. He took distinctions at the Fausto Ricci and Anita Cerquetti singing competitions, and Belcore, Falke, Marullo and Morales stand alongside his other baritone parts. The Teatro Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona have also heard him.
