Биография
An Italian cellist of Croatian descent, Cecilia Radic trained at the Milan Conservatory and with William Pleeth and David Geringas, and made her debut in 1992 in the city's Sala Verdi with the Dvořák concerto. The Premio Stradivari at the Concorso Caruana followed in 1996. She plays in the Quartetto Accardo and co-founded Estrio, the piano trio she shares with the violinist Laura Gorna and the pianist Laura Manzini. Since 1999 she has been principal cello of the Orchestra da Camera Italiana. Her recordings, for Decca, Chandos and Stradivarius, run from Vivaldi to Shostakovich and Nino Rota, and she teaches the cello at the conservatoire in Pavia. Her instrument is a Bernardel of 1837. In 2015 she appeared in Palermo with the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, in a programme shared with Gorna and Manzini. Rocco Filippini and Mario Brunello were among her other teachers, and the Dvorak of 1992 was played with the RAI orchestra in Milan. Estrio dates from 2004, and Denon, CPO and Fone have issued her playing alongside the other labels.
