Шарлоте Лайтнер

Since 2006 Charlotte Leitner has appeared as a soloist with the Sofia Philharmonic in its home city, in company that has included Jürgen Sacher, Liya Petrova and Boris Nedjalkov. A Viennese singer and the daughter of Willy Leitner, she was an ensemble member of the Volksoper and the Vienna State Opera and appeared at La Scala, the Arena di Verona and the houses of Turin and Naples. In 2010 she began directing, with Suppé's Boccaccio at Gars am Kamp, and her productions since then include Gräfin Mariza, Der Zigeunerbaron, Der Vogelhändler, Die Fledermaus and Wiener Blut, alongside work for the opera festival at St. Margarethen.
