Биография
Eugenia Dundekova has sung Azucena, Amneris, Eboli and Adalgisa, and appeared at La Scala, the Rome Opera and La Fenice, and in Parma, Naples, Florence, Palermo and Trieste, as well as in France, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Canada. Her awards included prizes at competitions — the Francisco Viñas in Barcelona, the Rossini Foundation prize in Pesaro, the Maria Callas television competition — and behind those lay the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, where she took her diploma with distinction in singing and in piano before building her career in Italy from the late 1970s onwards. She also taught opera singing at the Piccinni Conservatory in Bari from 1989, and held a professorship at the Rossini Academy in Pesaro from 2000, with masterclasses in Japan and regular service on competition juries. Her schooling began in Sofia, in the Bodra Smyana choir and at the Lyubomir Pipkov music school, from which she graduated in 1977 before leaving for Pesaro. Monica Boschetti is among the singers who came out of her studio.
