Федерика Проиети

Federica Proietti, a mezzo-soprano from Viterbo, made her debut in 1995 as Azucena in Il trovatore and Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana at Marsala, after winning the Mario Del Monaco competition, and took a prize at the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Spoleto in 1996. Amneris, the Principessa di Bouillon, Ulrica, Eboli and Pauline in Pique Dame followed in Florence, Rome, Naples, Frankfurt, Lausanne, Palermo, Athens, Hong Kong and Berlin, under conductors including Zubin Mehta and Jeffrey Tate. She returned to Azucena's opera on 30 June 2010 at the St.-Ursen-Bastion in Solothurn under Nayden Todorov, with Gabriella Morigi, Marzio Giossi and Kamen Tchanev.
