Джорджо Тибони

Giorgio Tiboni was one of eight soloists heard at San Gimignano on 12 August 2003, in a programme given by the I.C.O. Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Christo Sarafov, Ventseslav Anastasov, Daniela Ruzza and Peter Buchkov were on stage with him. He had come to singing from the violin, studying first in Sesto San Giovanni and then at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan, and his work ranges from Renaissance and Baroque ensembles to premieres of new pieces. He recorded three late cantatas by Giovanni Battista Sammartini for Naxos, sings in the chorus of La Scala, and belongs to the Italian Harmonists, whose programmes set popular song beside arrangements of classical repertoire.
