Биография
Principal horn of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1993, Teodossiev was born in Sofia in 1973 and studied with Vladislav Grigorov, taking his master's degree at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in 1996 and a doctorate in performance in 2012. A prize at a national academic competition in 1993 and a course with Hermann Baumann belong to those same early years. He has led horn sections for the Classic FM Radio Orchestra, the Sofia Symphony and the Genesis Orchestra, has appeared as a soloist with the Sofia Soloists, and plays chamber music with the wind quintet of the Bulgarian National Radio, which took the Crystal Lyre in 2010. At the Academy he has taught since 2001 — first as Grigorov's assistant, then as head of the brass and percussion department, and as professor from 2017 — and serves as dean of the Instrumental Faculty. His teaching covers horn, chamber music, ensemble and orchestral playing and the history of the instrument, and he has written a monograph on his own teacher. He has played as soloist with the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, belongs also to the Pilekadone quintet, and has given first performances of Bulgarian works, several of them written for him, with recordings made for national radio and television. An edition of the book on Grigorov was published in 2019. In 2014 he gave the first performance of Dobrinka Tabakova's Eleven with the Pilekadone quintet.
