Красимир Динев

Krasimir Dinev toured with State Opera Plovdiv in the early 2000s. In 2002 he sang in the open-air Carmen that Opera Classica and State Opera Plovdiv toured through Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and that September he appeared in a Puccini concert at the Plovdiv Concert Hall. Later casting lists at the Sofia Opera place him in supporting tenor roles, Ruiz in Il trovatore among them. He sang as a boy in the Sofia Boys' Choir and the children's choir of Bulgarian National Radio, and graduated in 1995 from the National Academy of Music in the class of Lili Stefanova, making his debut in Sofia and Blagoevgrad as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and taking the baritone solo of Carmina Burana in Cairo and Sofia. He studied further at the Bulgarian Academy of Art and Culture in Rome with Franca Hristov and Gianina Borelli, and for two more years as a tenor with Nikola Nikolov. At Rousse he sang Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia and then made his tenor debut in the title role of Otello, which he also sang in Spain; Riccardo in Un ballo in maschera, Cavaradossi, Don Jose and Radames followed. In 2009 he became a soloist of the Sofia Opera, where his parts include Ismaele in Nabucco, Lensky and Mime.
