Луиджи Фратола

Schooled in Italy and settled in the nineteenth-century Italian repertoire — Verdi, Puccini, Rossini — Luigi Frattola has divided his working life between the opera house, the open-air summer concert and the studio. He took part in the recording of Ponchielli's unfinished I Mori di Valenza with Natalia Margarit and Maurizio Zanchetti, and has appeared in The Night of the Five Tenors, the German touring series in which his colleagues have included Vincenzo Sanso, Orfeo Zanetti, Emil Pavlov and Georgi Dinev. His concert work has included performances with Nayden Todorov, in a collaboration running over two decades. He took his diploma at the Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza in 1991 and made his debut the same year as Rodolfo in La bohème.
