Биография
Luis Enríquez Bacalov left Argentina, lived in Colombia, Spain and Paris, and settled in Italy in 1959. He was born at San Martín in the province of Buenos Aires and began studying piano there. In Italy he wrote for Damiano Damiani, Ettore Scola and Fernando Di Leo, worked with the country's progressive rock musicians, and was nominated for an Academy Award for The Gospel According to St Matthew long before he won one, in 1996, for Il Postino. The Misa Tango and his years directing the Orchestra della Magna Grecia belong to his concert work. He died in 2017. He worked as composer, arranger and conductor for RCA and Fonit Cetra, and the partnership with the singer-songwriter Sergio Endrigo lasted years. Corbucci's Django, Petri's We Still Kill the Old Way and Rosi's The Truce are among the other films he scored.
