Магдалена Георгиева

Magdalena Georgieva has appeared as a soloist with the State Opera Burgas from 2004, working there beside Lyudmila Mihaylova, Srebrina Slavova, Veselin Spasov and Peter Tiholov. Georgieva is a mezzo-soprano. She graduated from the State Academy of Music Pancho Vladigerov in Sofia in 1991 from the class of Prof. Hristina Angelakova and joined the Burgas company in 1993. Her parts there run from Cherubino and Donna Elvira through Maddalena and Emilia to Amneris, Eboli, Fenena, Azucena, Suzuki, Santuzza and Adalgisa, with Meg Page in Falstaff, Siebel in Faust, Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Olga in The Merry Widow among them.
