Мария Солозобова

Educated in Russia and in Switzerland, Maria Solozobova works across concerto, recital and chamber repertoire and plays with orchestras in Europe and Asia. She was the soloist in Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto at the Tonhalle Zürich on 28 February 2026, with the Thüringen Philharmonie. Born in Moscow, she studied at the Moscow Conservatory and went on to study with Zakhar Bron in Zurich and Raphael Oleg in Basel, and her playing has taken her to Africa and the Americas as well. She has recorded Tchaikovsky, Ernst and Paganini together with the violin concertos of Paul Juon and Hans Huber, and in 2009 she set up the Classical Highlights concert series in Zurich. Martha Argerich is among her chamber partners.
