Ненчо Балабанов

Borrowed voices have made most of Nencho Balabanov's career. Born in Kotel in 1980, he trained as a puppet-theatre actor at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. Bulgarian audiences know him from the impersonation series Kato dve kapki voda and from years of television work, and his voice runs through advertising, dubbing and children's music; the song Pet maymunki has passed forty million views. He appeared in the Bulgarian-Spanish film Automata in 2013. In November 2016 he took the narrator's part in the world premiere of Nikolo Kotzev's rock opera Nostradamus at the State Opera Rousse, a production that put actors, rock vocalists, opera singers, orchestra, chorus and ballet on the same stage.
