Биография
Piano and cello at seven at the Givatayim Conservatory, a scholarship from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation at thirteen, the bassoon only at sixteen — Noga Yeshurun came to her instrument late and made up the distance, studying with Walter Maroz and then at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music. She has played first bassoon in several orchestras, under Georg Solti and Zubin Mehta among others, and from 1987 held the first bassoon chair of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra; she also formed an orchestra of her own and toured with it in France, Greece and Italy. Her repertoire runs from the Baroque to contemporary Israeli music, and she teaches. August 1999 took her to Plovdiv, where she recorded Vivaldi's bassoon concertos in E minor and C major for Music Minus One in the Bulgarian National Radio studio, and on the fifteenth played a concert with the Plovdiv Chamber Orchestra that also held Glazunov's Saxophone Concerto and André Hajdu's Jewish Rhapsody, with Lawrence Gwozdz and Orit Orbach. The Vivaldi sessions were made with the Plovdiv Philharmonic under Nayden Todorov. Yeshurun appeared as a bassoon soloist at the Thracia Summer Music Festival in Plovdiv in 1999.
