Биография
Two instruments, two literatures: Piero Barbareschi studied the piano with Martha Del Vecchio and the harpsichord with Anna Maria Pernafelli, graduating from the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence with the highest marks, and has kept both going since. Born in La Spezia, he plays as soloist and chamber musician with partners including Felix Ayo, Cristiano Rossi, Franco Mezzena, Thomas Christian, Mario Hossen, Mario Ancillotti and Susanne Kelling, in music from the seventeenth century through to first performances of new work, and has appeared across western Europe, in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and the United States. He co-founded the baroque ensemble Officina de li Affetti and has worked with the Wiener Kammerorchester, the Salzburg Chamber Soloists and the Virtuosi di Praga. His recordings for Brilliant Classics, Dynamic, Tactus, Nuova Era and Da Vinci Classics include Bach and Handel sonatas for violin and harpsichord and keyboard concertos by Simon Mayr. He writes on music as well.
