Биография
Genoa gave Pietro Adaini his first Rodolfo and his first Nemorino: he was twenty-two when the Teatro Carlo Felice awarded him its EOS scholarship in 2014. Born in Catania in May 1992, he had studied with the baritone Salvo Todaro and the tenor Salvatore Fisichella, taken a master class with Marcello Giordani, and reached the final of the Voci dal Mediterraneo competition in Syracuse in 2011 and again in 2012, with a special commendation as a young artist. The house followed the Puccini and the Donizetti with Albazar in Il turco in Italia, Ernesto in Don Pasquale and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, and with appearances in La sonnambula, Rigoletto, La scala di seta and La fille du régiment. He has since sung in Il viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival and in Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle at Wexford Festival Opera. He added Beppe in Pagliacci to the Italian houses, sang Rigoletto under Daniel Oren in Salerno and La sonnambula at the Teatro Regio in Turin, and took Il viaggio a Reims to Rome and to the Bolshoi. Cinderella in Verona and Piacenza and La fille du régiment in Palermo, Oman and Beijing followed, and in August 2023 he appeared at the Tiroler Festspiele in Erl in Adam's Le Postillon de Lonjumeau and in a cantata written for Pius IX.
