Биография
Known first through Bulgarian music television, Preya writes and sings her own material across pop, soul and R&B, with a jazz inflection in the phrasing, and works in the studio as much as on stage. In October 2015 she sang at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia in a Pop & Rock programme with the orchestra of State Opera Ruse, in which popular songs and ABBA numbers were rescored for full orchestra. She was born Preya-Eirin-Comfort Rex Osasei in Sofia on 22 October 1994, to a Bulgarian mother and a Nigerian father who died while she was a child. Bulgarian television took her up early — the first season of X Factor in 2011, then Musical Academy in 2013, where she was eliminated a step short of the final — and the programme's producer, Monte Music, signed her at the beginning of 2014. Her debut single that year, Malkite neshta, a duet with Billy Hlapeto, she composed with Lyuben Hristov and Grafa and co-wrote with Ilia Grigorov. The album Preyah followed in 2019, the mini-album Energy in 2021 and Lava in 2026. She made her stage debut in 2014 in Ivan Radoev's Chovekoyadkata at the Zad Kanala theatre in Sofia under Bina Haralampieva, and has dubbed feature films since 2019.
