Рубенс Пелицари

Pelizzari built his career on the lyric-spinto repertoire, studying with Adriana Lazzarini and Vittorio Pellegrini and winning the Festival della Lirica di Sanremo in 2001. The principal Verdi and Puccini tenor roles followed, among them the parts he sang in Madama Butterfly, La bohème and Rigoletto at Italian open-air venues in 2003 and 2004; the baritone George Petean was on the bill with him at Chianciano Terme in 2003. Pollione in Norma took him to the Teatro Massimo in 2014 and to the Grand Theatre de Geneve in 2017, and he sang the title role of Il bravo ossia la Veneziana at the Wexford Festival in 2018.
