Румен Какамъков

Kakamakov appeared with the Plovdiv Philharmonic on its German tour, in the orchestra's concert at Monschau on 1 July 2004. Kakamakov was born in Gorna Oryahovitsa, trained at the Dobri Hristov music school in Varna and graduated from the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts in Plovdiv in 1977. A violinist, he was assistant concertmaster in Veliko Tarnovo from 1977 to 1980 and then worked at the Plovdiv State Philharmonic from 1980, serving as its concertmaster from 1991 to 2003. He later held concertmaster posts in Adana, Haskovo and Ruse, and since 2017 has been concertmaster of the State Opera Stara Zagora orchestra.
