Румяна Костова

In Sofia's Bulgaria Hall, on 2 October 2022, Rumyana Kostova sang in an Opera Gala of arias and ensembles — one of a group of young singers drawn from several countries and heard together in a single evening. Her stage roles include Oriana in Handel's Amadigi at the Sofia Opera, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro in Varna and Burgas, Euridice at the summer opera festival in Brescia and Yvette in La rondine in Stara Zagora, and she has sung the soprano solos in Brahms's German Requiem and Handel's Messiah with the Sofia Philharmonic. She graduated with honours from the early music department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in 2021, spent the following season in the young artists' studio of the Bologna opera and in 2023 held a scholarship at the Boris Christoff Academy in Rome.
